Juliane Solvång

puppeteer and actress

Juliane Solvång was born in Berlin in 1978. After school she worked as a stage and costume design assistant. From 1999 to 2003, she studied Puppetry at the "Ernst Busch" Academy of Dramatic Arts (Hochschule für Schauspielkunst "Ernst Busch" in Berlin). In 2008, she moved to Sweden. As a puppeteer, actress, set and puppet designer she worked for various theatres in Germany, Switzerland and Scandinavia. During the last years, her work was mainly focussed on Visual Storytelling and Photography. In 2019, she decided to return to Germany with Erfurt as her new home town. From August 2022 onwards Juliane Solvång is a tmember of the Theater Waidspeicher ensemble.

Karoline Vogel

puppeteer and actress

Karoline Vogel was born in Wittenberg in 1986. She studied at the Faculty of Puppetry at the "Ernst Busch" Academy of Dramatic Arts (Hochschule für Schauspielkunst "Ernst Busch" in Berlin). She performed in productions at Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin and the Cabaret Theater "Distel" in Berlin.
Since the season 2014/2015 she has been a member of Theater Waidspeicher ensemble, where she has appeared in 16 productions since then, such as “My Slightly Strange Friend Walter”, “King Lear”, “The Wooden Horse”, “The Master and Margarita”, “Love of Seven Dolls”.
She also works freelance as dubbing actors.

Heinrich Bennke

puppeteer and actor

Heinrich Bennke was born in Schwerin in 1987. He graduated from the Faculty of Puppetry at the "Ernst Busch" Academy of Dramatic Arts (Hochschule für Schauspielkunst "Ernst Busch" in Berlin). He performed with the "Berliner Ensemble" and with the Cabaret Theater "Distel" in Berlin. Since the season 2013/14 he has been a member of Theater Waidspeicher ensemble, where he has appeared in 20 productions since then.
He also works freelance as dubbing actors.

Paul Günther

puppeteer and actor

Paul Günther was born in Meiningen in 1960. He graduated from the Faculty of Puppetry at the "Ernst Busch" Academy of Dramatic Arts, (Hochschule für Schauspielkunst "Ernst Busch" in Berlin). As a puppeteer he was engaged at Theater Waidspeicher Erfurt, Staatstheater Meiningen and from 2001 to 2009 at Theater Naumburg. As a director he worked with theatres and artists in Basel, Stuttgart, Zurich and Berlin. Paul Günther has been engaged by Theater Waidspeicher since the beginning of the season 2009/2010. Here he has appeared in 46 productions for children, young people and adults so far.

Tomas Mielentz

puppeteer and actor

Tomas Mielentz was born in Meißen in 1966. After finishing an apprenticeship and working as a fitter for locomotives he studied scenery and puppetry. He graduated from the Faculty of Puppetry at the "Ernst Busch" Academy of Dramatic Arts, (Hochschule für Schauspielkunst "Ernst Busch" in Berlin). Tomas Mielentz has been working at Theater Waidspeicher since 1995. He has been performing in more than 60 productions for children and adults since then.
„Tom Thumb“ in the 2021/2022 season was his debut as a puppetry director at Theater Waidspeicher.
In the 2022/2023 season he will be the director of “The Steadfast Tin Soldier”.

Maurice Voß

puppeteer and actor

Maurice Voß was born in Berlin in 1994. He graduated from the Faculty of Puppetry at the "Ernst Busch" Academy of Dramatic Arts (Hochschule für Schauspielkunst "Ernst Busch" in Berlin). As a student he performed with Puppentheater Magdeburg“ and Schaubude Berlin, he had guest performances at Figurentheaterhaus Hannover, Das Weite Theater Berlin, Puppentheater Halle and the International Figurentheaterfestival in Wels. Since the season 2019/2020 he has been a member of Theater Waidspeicher ensemble.
