A brief introduction to object theatre with Tristan Vogt
(Thalias Kompagnons, Nuremberg).
With simple playful exercises, we want to explore the magical world of things in this small workshop: What does an object “feel”, what is its problem, what does it dream about? How can we “animate” things in the theatre and invent short stories with them?
Please bring 3 mysterious objects / materials / lost-and-found objects and 1 immobile (toy)figure!
Expenses: 50 € for both days
Max. 12 attendants

Workshop Exhibition "Beasts and Birds"
Animals of all kinds – dogs and cats, crocodiles and birds, insects and spiders – but also dragons and other mythical creatures appear in many stories. Often, they are secondary characters as friends and companions of humans, but they can also be frightening foes. There are numerous stories in which animals can speak or people are turned into animals. Puppet theatre in its many visual aspects is particularly well suited for their representation. In its foyer, Theater Waidspeicher presents a collection of animal characters that have appeared on the Waidspeicher stage since 1979. They bear witness to the diversity of the styles of their creators and makers, who have worked for Theater Waidspeicher over more than four decades.
The workshop exhibition is open daily during the festival. Admission is free.
